Wow! Today marks 2/3 done of Paula’s 30 Day Shred Challenge. As she said earlier, “YEA!” I feel a tremendous sense of accomplishment making it this far. In fact, I’m going to be a little sad when Day 30 arrives!
I hauled out the 8 lbs weights for Day 19. In theory, smashing! In practice, silly! My arms were sore for the entire day. I had to switch down to the 5 lbs for the second set of each strength exercise.
Kept the insanity going on Day 20 by using the 8 lbs again! Still couldn’t do more than the first set with them, but oh well. Maybe I can pop out a few 8 lbs reps on the second strength exercises tomorrow. Next short-term goal: Level 3 by Day 22, plus cardio on the back end of each workout.
FYI – Jillian’s working on her latest DVDs – kettlebells and yoga shred – and she tweeted that even she’s having trouble keeping up with her own workout during the taping. Will it make me swear at her less next year when I’m doing these workouts? Probably not. But I will laugh a little, knowing it’s just as hard for her as it is for me!

Did you see the video that Jillian posted about her achy bum? (while taping the dvd) Hilarious! Yeah…she loves to kill us alright! I would be sad if you all were leaving me after day 30 but I have a feeling we’ll do lots more challenges together in the future. WooHoo! Thanks for being there every day.

I don’t think it even uses weights! I a live workout with the creator in May and thought I was going to die.

Holy what the what! That looks unbelievable. And yes, insane. But in a good way! Definitely get it. I’ll ask for your honest opinion on February 1. :0)

I only saw her Tweet, not the video. Is it on You Tube? Jillian was still doing her podcast when she was taping her last two DVDs. She said they were the hardest ones she had done to date…and she thought the fitness models were going to quit after the first hour. Sounds like Kettlebells may ending up topping the pain factor of both of the previous DVDs! Paula, you know I’m onboard for more challenges! :0)
