It’s the last weekend of the shred challenge! Can’t believe how quickly it’s flown by.
I don’t know if it was food poisoning or a 24 hour bug, but after completing my Level 3 shred on Day 23, I went downhill quickly. Decided to give myself a break and take it easy for the rest of the day. I took a hot tea tree oil and epsom salt bath, then headed to bed to sleep it off. Felt so much better by Friday afternoon! Ended up skipping the Day 24 shred entirely though. Didn’t want to chance it.
Glad I waited, because I was able to make up for it on Day 25 – I did Level 3 twice! My poor legs and shoulders were not happy with me. Kept it to a single shred today on Day 26. Also remembered to switch starting legs on the plank so I wouldn’t hold on the same size two days in a row. Wonder if that was an editing error on the DVD…or maybe Jillian just wanted to keep us on our toes. I still want to do Levels 1-3 on the final day of the challenge. 1 hour of working out like a fitness machine! Gulp.
Final week starts tomorrow…wheeeeeee!

I’m with you! I’ll do all three on the last day as well! Thelma and Louise. Without the Brad Pitt.
So glad you are feeling better!

Kim – my arms still hurt from doing all three levels. It’s been days!!! And now you know about the blog. I just found out about yours this week too! Paula’s doing a great job of getting us all connected. I’m still getting into the routine of regular blogging, so I’ll be sure to put a link on Twitter when I update.

Are you doing level 1, 2, and 3 on all 30 days? Holy cow! I finished day 7 of my 30 day shred today. I alternate the levels each day, so day 1 was level 1, day 2 was level 2, day 3 level 3, day 4 level 1, repeat.
How do you feel about your results (minus the food poisoning).
What did you think of Eric putting on all the weight. I was so devastated.

Hi Angela – love your idea of alternating among the three levels for the entire 30 days! How I wish I could have done all three levels each day. Maybe that should be my next workout challenge? :0) I haven’t done my Days 27-30 update here yet, but my original goal was to be able to do Levels 1, 2 and 3 on the final day of the 30 Day Challenge. And I did it!!! Results-wise, I am delighted. My legs have always been my easy spot – responsive to training and very strong – so I didn’t expect to see a whole lot of difference there. My arms, shoulders, chest though – stunned by the improvement. I can actually see definition in the shoulder cap, triceps and biceps. Even my abs have tightened considerably.
I was sad about Erik but I wasn’t completely surprised. I had seen clips of him on Oprah earlier this year and knew he gained it back at that point. Very, very sad. But I’m glad he accepted Bob’s challenge to weigh-in at the Season 9 finale! I’ll be posting soon about the “Where Are They Now” special…and that NYT article asserting that the show comprised the contestants’ health.
